Scott Riggan - Altar Of My Heart
print these lyrics

Wherever I am / I will worship You
At the altar of my heart
Wherever I stand / I will kneel before You
At the altar of my heart

And I will bow down to none but You
Oh I will bow down to none but You
At the altar of my heart

You are on the throne
And I am on the altar
Wherever I may go You are my Lord
You are on the throne
And I am on the altar
Let it be known You are my Lord

And I will bow down to none but You...

Song Description:
"While we were in China, we had to be very careful in public places. When we prayed, for example, we did not close our eyes; instead we just spoke aloud to God and pretended that we were talking with each other. Some of the time we had to speak in a kind of "code" (referring to God as "the Boss", etc.). When I wrote this lyric, I hadn't been to China yet. Now - after encountering the courage of believers who live in a culture that is so hostile to Christianity - this song is a lot more meaningful to me."
